The Buck Stops Within – Accept Responsibility for your Success: “We often hear the famous quote “The Buck Stops Here”, but how does that apply to your endeavor to succeed in life and in business?

When you get down to the nitty gritty of success in any area, it is everything! First of all, you must accept the fact that wherever you are in business, relationships, spiritual life or health, is a result of the choices you have made in your life. You may not have chosen the specific destination, but the choices you made along the way, have placed you exactly where you are today.

We live in a blame society, everyone wants to blame someone else for pretty much everything. This blame trend is actually disintegrating empowerment in people’s lives. No one is in control of someone else unless that person allows it to happen. “

You can only accomplish total success when you are willing to accept responsibility for yourself.

So what areas do we accept responsibility for? Very simple, everything.

1) Be responsible for every thought: Everything begins with a thought. Thoughts lead to feelings, feelings lead to actions and actions lead to results or the lack of results. So first of all, take total responsibility for what you are thinking. Your conscious mind only knows what the subconscious mind tells it. So control your thoughts, keep them positive, focused and clean of anything destructive.

2) Be responsible for your feelings or emotions: What you attract into your life is what you give energy to, or what you give emotion to. Emotion is what drives the Law of Attraction. Emotions are also what brings trouble into lives, so until you control your emotions, you will never have control over your life and your results.

3) Be responsible for your actions: Any action has a reaction. In every area of your life, if you do not control your actions then you have no control over the reaction. If you are controlling your thoughts, that will assist in controlling your emotions and in turn, the appropriate action should be easier for you to control.

4) Be responsible for your results: Everything you have in your life, everything you are in your life, everything you will ever have or will be is entirely up to you.

Take control and full responsibility for these 4 areas of your life and you will find that tomorrow will not be the same as today. The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing, expecting different results. In order to change the path you may be on at this time, you must accept responsibility for yourself.

I am certain you will be amazed at how enlightening it is when you focus on being responsible for yourself. We will talk at another time about letting the past go, but I must add briefly.

Once you accept responsibility for your past, you must let it go. It has no affect on where you will be in the future, unless you let it control you.

How I Apply "The Secret" to My Life

I have had several questions since my post of yesterday about how to apply the principle of “The Secret” into your life. This is a very interesting question, because all the information in the world will not change anything if you do not know how to apply it.

For me, once I was introduced to the principles, I immediately attracted into my life a business program that took care of that step for me. The way my business came into my life was so bizarre that the only answer had to be that I “attracted” it at the right time.

The product that I represent, has provided me an amazing lifestyle and income is based on these principles. It is a tool that walks you through the process of applying these principles on a day to day business. It allows you to make the changes in your life, your habits, your mindset and your expectations to allow these principles work in your life.

I really do not like to use my blog platform to promote my business, that is not the purpose of starting this blog. However, with the media focus on “The Secret”, people are becoming aware that there is a way to have everything they want.

There is no better business model available to offer anyone the ability to achieve their dreams. Just think, a powerful business, with a powerful compensation model and a product that teaches you to use the principles of “The Secret”. It is a perfect combination. I am absolutely thrilled with the media coverage and the attention given to “The Secret”. I am not a TV enthusiast, however I truly commend Oprah for featuring 2 shows on this amazing book and movie.

I have been involved with this same program for almost three years now. My life has changed from the employee I was before to a successful entrepreneur, all because I hold the beliefs of this system.

Laser Focus, What You Visualize, You Materialize: “So, everyone wants to know what it takes to succeed at anything and everything! The most frequent question I am asked is “what is the secret to success”. I truly think this is a most amusing question. First of all, if the question is asked then the person asking has not looked within to find out how they themselves define success. They have not become clear on what they want and their purpose.

Everything in life comes down to knowing what you want. Regardless of where you are striving for success, i.e. relationships, business, career, finances, sports, love or any other area of your life. If you do not know exactly what you want then you certainly will never know when the opportunities or solutions present themselves.

I am a believer in the saying “what you visualize, you materialize”. So I hear the moans already, someone else is going to tell me to visualize my goals. Absolutely I am. If you can not see yourself in receipt of what you want, then you will always just want it, never have it. This is a very simple truth.

But what does it take to visualize goals? Laser focus for starters.

1) Get perfectly clear on what you want, be very specific

2) Get in tune with what it will feel like when you have it

3) Apply that feeling, or energy to focus on your desire

4) Like a laser beam, make every action you take move you closer to that goal

5) Be present with your goals, know every minute of the day what the goal is

6) Never give up and never give in, do not settle for anything less

7) Everyday, take a few minutes to visually tap into these feelings.

When visualizing your goals, it should be almost like a memory, something you are very familiar with, not just a want.

9) Make it very personal, as you visualize, get excited with how it feels to have accomplished the goal

So, what is the secret? Laser focus on your desire. Regardless of what the desire is, everything you do will either move you toward your goal or away from your goal. To become this aware of your thoughts and visualization, you must be focused and totally clear on what you are looking to achieve.

Find the Unlimited Potential Within to Create the Life of Your Dreams: Every human is born with unlimited potential. What you are, what you do, how you live, what you accomplish, how you love and what you have in life is not limited in any possible way by your circumstances.

Each person is born with the same possibilities as every other person and those possibilities are unlimited. True, some people are born into circumstances that may be a greater challenge to overcome, but the potential remains the same for everyone.

God built into each of us the ability to create the life we desire and dream of. Along with that ability is the unlimited possibilities of our thought.

Take for example, Thomas Edison. He did not just wave a wand and invent electricity. The ability to create electricity was in every person of that era, but Thomas Edison thought about what this new invention would be. He envisioned it and decided that he could find the components to develop it. He drew upon his unlimited potential and did not give up on it. If you study Mr. Edison, you will find that he tried hundreds of ideas before he succeeded. The idea of electricity never changed during this period. Only the methods that he used to invent it. He didn’t just accidentally fly a kite and find electricity. He knew exactly what he was looking for because he saw it in his mind, long before he made the discovery. He focused on the idea and gave it tremendous attention.

This same ability is in each of us. Every invention, every finding, every discovery begins with a thought. Humans are given the ability to think. It is then what you do with that ability that makes you different from those around you. Some people choose to use their thought to create and others choose to use it to hold them back. Again, there is no distinction, other than the decision to use the thought either in a positive manner or a negative manner.

Positive thinking, or as I call it, creative thinking is just as powerful as negative thinking or destructive thinking. Every human is exactly what they choose to think. I do not agree with the old cliché of you are what you think you are. Instead, I choose a newer version, what you think – you are.

So what does all of this have to do with potential? Your potential is only limited by what you think. If you genuinely see yourself as a successful artist, creator, entrepreneur, parent or any other dream, then that is exactly what you are and your life will reflect exactly who you know you are inside.

However, on the other side, if you see yourself as a misfit, a nobody, unsuccessful, a failure or just not the person you want to be, then that is exactly what your life will reflect.

I wish I could say that potential is based entirely on what you think about, but there is another powerful consideration. And, that is belief. Covering up a lack of belief with positive thinking will only tend to cloud your results in life.

You can not mask a deep rooted fear and negative thought process with a few positive thoughts. It takes consistent action to change your belief process. You must implement a solid personal development program to accomplish this level of change in your belief system. You must learn to direct your thoughts into the right area, have total control over your thoughts to see this level of success.

With consistent and daily attention to what you think, what you say and how you react to circumstances, you can start to see small steps of accomplishment. Start today by filling your mind, your eyes and your ears with sound, uplifting and positive thoughts and images. Be very aware of what you put into your mind. If you watch trash, then your mind will focus on trash. If you associate with negative, draining people, then your results will be the same as their results.

Take a look at your 5 closest friends. If they are not the type of people you want to transform yourself into, then I strongly suggest finding new friends. You truly are the company you keep, simply because their influence determines what you put into your mind.

Once you make some small changes in what you see, hear, speak and think, you will begin to see the unlimited potential in yourself and you will see immediate change in your circumstances.
